Nor would it disappoint any reader, who chose it from the back cover information.We have a gaping God hole which we spend our entire lives trying to fill. Satan offers us many counterfeit fillers. In my opinion, Mary DeMuth's books are headed for "classichood." All of them. Her unique voice appeals to young and old. No chance for dry or boring. Beautiful Battle is the first book I've read on the subject of Christian growth and maturity that cuts across denominations and answers all the questions. DeMuth won her brand the hard way. Overpowering difficulties growing up could have destroyed her, but her college mates and friends prayed. And prayed. God healed the childhood scars and gave her an assignment to write with wisdom and authority. Pick up any of her books and you will sense the Holy Spirit's guidance. Are you afraid of a book about spiritual warfare and all things related? Relax. Mary's special anointing turns her upbeat tone and contagious joy into Bible-infused excitement. God provided awesome battle equipment for our Christian life. Mary shows us how to use it. Beautiful Battle reads easy and answers our questions. Young adults, new and mature Christians of any age, will devour this book.

I actually bought this book on a whim. I am so glad that I did. If you ever want to really know how much Satan is trying to get you to do his will and not God's, READ THIS BOOK. What an eye opener.
Miss Demuth now has another fan for ever. You will not be disappointed for buying this book.
I discovered this book by accident - but not really. God clearly put it in my path. Every believer in Christ will go through a "spiritual battle" at some point in their life. This book teaches how to be aware of what a spiritual battle really is, and what & what not to do. It lines up with scripture. I recommend reading if you are in the midst of a fierce battle and feel like you can't go on another day. It helped me put things in perspective in the midst of mine and made me realize I'm not alone - that just like it says in
1 Peter 59, ...you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
I loved this book and the truths it brings to light. It is very well written and I found myself highlighting constantly. The prayers she shares at the end of each chapter are powerful. It is very balanced and really drives home the idea that we are to focus more on Christ and not give Satan so much of our focus but at the same time not to forget that he exists to cause a battle with us. I just finished it and am going to read it all over again.
This is a great book on the spiritual battle that women need to fight in this crazy world. Mary gives clear information for how to deal with problems that come up, like fear, addictions, controlling your mouth, and what to do if a Christian hurts you. You will find good advice in this book. The last chapters are on Victory! Because we know that God wins in the end, so don't give up!
This is the first book by Mary DeMuth that I read. It really helped me understand spiritual warfare. I loved that it was written by a woman as well because I find a woman's perspective on spiritual warfare to be so necessary and, unfortunately, lacking in the world of literature and sermon series. DeMuth writes with an honest candour that is refreshing. You can't help by empathise. She combines story and anecdotes with practical tools and prayers in a way that is a blessing to the soul and a tool kit for the mind.
Life transforming! Even though I have been a believer and immersed in church since I was a child, this book brought so much clarity to the daily struggle. This book taught me to see things I hadn't seen before or offer a deeper perspective of ideas that I already knew. Mary used scripture that I was familiar with, but somehow her book resonated with me in a time of need. This book taught me how to "own" God's truths. I feel more at peace and more free than I have ever felt after doing a study from Beautiful Battle. I buy books in bulk and hand them out to others because I think it is THAT great! God certainly used Mary in a magnificent way to speak His truths to a hurting world. I was abundantly blessed with this read!
